What sort of time-equivalent, do you purpose might be required if Ascension is your Goal?

To some degree I believe it matters how much you are willing to pay and how fast you want to run the race. Certainly it can't be done in a day b/c the impurities must be burned up within. Also your higher self/God may hold you back a short while so you can help others that aren't as far as you. But I think if you pray unceasingly it could be done in less than 10 years and if you're intentions are right. You can do more than whats required but if your motivation is supernatural powers you will not ascend until you give up egotistical desire, perhaps through much hard labor you will gain a power, but you won't have anything without God/Knowledge/Bliss.
