Mix of Rap and Rock n Roll?

I know alot of people hate the mix, but I really like it. Like Jay Z and Linkin Park, Nappy Roots Awnaw with the POD guitarist, Ice Cube with Korn and vice versa, and now Lil Waynes Prom Queen. I dont know what this style of music is considered, and what good bands there are out there.
