VIRUS/SPYWARE keeps coming back after I remove the problem and my computer is moving so slow. PLEASE HELP?

I have ran Anti Spay from my Yahoo toolbar and I have also used McAffe through my DSL provider It goes away but when I restart my computer it comes right back. My computer is getting slower and slower. Please help. Please forgive me, I am computer illiterate
