Do you think I am a mean mother because I took Christmas away from my kids?

My children do not know how to behave. A few years ago the Easter Bunny didn't come because they were not behaving, and that same year I didn't give them a birthday party for the same reason. This year, after putting my tree up, they knocked it down, took all the ornaments off it, and ruined many of my christmas decorations. So I put it all away and told them they would not be getting Christmas this year. If other family members give them gifts, that is fine. But they will not be getting anything from my husband and I. Do you think that I am being mean? Or that I am expecting to much from my children? I am just wondering what others think.
