I need the bd upgrade for my PS3 but how do I get it.Help.?

I know the upgrade can be downloaded but I live In a rural area so I can get high speed so that seems to be out of the question, plus I have a Macintosh and can find a upgrade for it to work. But I heard the BD upgrade can also be upgraded by a disc of some and I was wondering where I could get one or is it just a normal rented game and the upgrade is on the game,If so what games would have it, anyway i'm getting pissed off when I can't play my blu ray movies what solutions are there
