Can you still seek sanctuary in a Church?

I was reading an article about how the Danish police removed a group of Iraqi asylum seekers from a church (a href="http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/8199750.stm" rel="nofollow"http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/…/a ) and it got me thinking. Does the right of sanctuary still exist under British law - or any law come to that?
